The Manhattan Ballroom Society offers something for everyone, especially on Friday nights! Choose from an advanced lesson at 6:30 or a Brush-Up Class at 7:30, then stay for the Social Dance from 8:30-11:00 PM. Admission is $20, which includes one of the lessons, the dance, and coffee/tea/refreshments. Take both lessons for just $10 more.

Free street parking after 7 PM.

6:30 - 7:30 PM Advanced Lesson (Prior ballroom instruction required.)
An in-depth approach to the primary movements underlying all dances. The techniques of pivots, spins, twinkles, and grapevines, as well as musical background, rhythmic structure, posture, leading and following are covered. For Spring 2010, we're working on the elegant Silver Foxtrot. Come join us!

7:30 - 8:30 PM Brush-up Lesson
Brush-Up Classes in all popular dances -- see the schedule at right.
Lessons are taught on a single-unit basis with basic, intermediate, and advanced variations included. No prior dance experience is necessary. Ideal for those who cannot register for a course. Class is followed immediately by a Social Dance from 8:30-11:00 PM.

Dance in our elegant ballroom to a nice mix of music from the '30s to today. We play only the best Ballroom, Latin, Swing, Salsa and Hustle for your dancing enjoyment.

Special Events and Dates

August 6,13,20,27	Classes and dance held at Church of the Holy Trinity, 316 East 88th St (between 1st and 2nd Ave) for the month of August only, as the floor at St. Jean is being replaced for us.
September 3	We're back at St. Jean, Lexington Ave & 76 St, on the brand new floor!
September 10	GUEST NIGHT -- New guests come for free! Spread the joy!!
September 17	No 7:30 class tonight. Just dancing from 7:30-11:00 PM
